Hat Idea Submission Terms & Conditions

p>Thanks for wanting to put your golf-course wisdom on a hat. Before you submit, here are the rules. By submitting an idea through our submission form, you agree to everything below. If you don't agree, please don't submit.

1. Who can submit

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. Submissions are open worldwide, but rewards may be limited or adjusted where prohibited by law. Employees of FORE REAL Golf and their immediate family are not eligible for rewards.

2. What you're submitting

An idea is a short phrase, slogan, or concept for a hat. You may submit as many ideas as you like. Each submission is recorded with a verified email address and a timestamp.

3. Your idea must be your own

By submitting, you confirm that the idea is original to you and you created it; that it does not copy, infringe, or violate anyone else's trademark, copyright, or other rights; that it is not already a registered trademark or a well-known slogan owned by someone else; and that you have the full right to submit it and grant the rights described below.

If a submission turns out to infringe someone else's rights, it is not eligible, and you are responsible for any claims that result from your submission.

4. Ownership — this is the important part

By submitting, you immediately and irrevocably assign all rights in that idea — including copyright, any trademark rights, and all other intellectual property rights — to FORE REAL Golf LLC, worldwide and in perpetuity, in exchange for the opportunity to receive the rewards described in Section 5.

For ideas we select and produce, that assignment is permanent. FORE REAL Golf LLC exclusively owns the phrase, slogan, or concept and may use, modify, register, produce, sell, and license it forever, worldwide, without further payment beyond the rewards in Section 5.

For ideas we do not select and do not produce, we release the assignment and rights revert to you. We claim no ownership of and will not use unselected ideas.

5. Rewards

If we select and produce your idea, you receive the following based on lifetime units sold of that specific design:

Milestone	Reward
Your design goes into production	One free hat of that design
100 units of that design sold	$10 gift card
1,000 units of that design sold	$100 gift card
10,000 units of that design sold	$1,000 gift card

Rewards are cumulative milestones — they are not paid per order and are not cash unless stated. When a milestone is reached, we will email a gift card to the address you submitted. Gift cards are redeemable at forerealgolf.co and are valid for five years from the date of issuance, consistent with Washington state law (RCW 19.240). Once we send the gift card to your submitted email address, our obligation for that milestone is fulfilled regardless of whether it is redeemed.

It is your responsibility to keep your submitted email address current. If a gift card email bounces, we will make one additional delivery attempt to any updated address you have proactively notified us of in writing at hello@forerealgolf.co before the milestone is reached. No further obligation applies after that attempt.

6. No confidentiality

Submissions are not received in confidence. Do not include anything you consider proprietary, a trade secret, or confidential. FORE REAL Golf LLC has no duty of confidentiality with respect to any submission, and nothing in these terms restricts FORE REAL Golf LLC from discussing, evaluating, or independently developing ideas that are similar to or the same as what you submitted.

7. Duplicate ideas

If two or more people submit the same or a substantially similar idea, the person with the earliest verified timestamp is the sole eligible submitter. Our records of submission time are final.

8. We're not obligated to use anything

Submitting an idea does not guarantee it will be produced. We may select, decline, modify, combine, or ignore any submission at our sole discretion. We may also independently develop similar ideas without obligation — golf humor is a small world, and we cannot guarantee that any given phrase originated with a single person.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FORE REAL Golf LLC's total liability to you in connection with any submission, idea, or reward under these terms is limited to the value of the specific reward milestone associated with that submission. FORE REAL Golf LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages of any kind arising from or related to your submission or these terms.

10. How we contact you & use your info

We use the email and any social handles you provide to contact you about your submission and rewards, and — only if you separately opt in — for marketing. We handle your information per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes & ending the program

We may change these terms or end the submission program at any time. Material changes apply going forward; ideas already selected and rewarded are governed by the terms in effect at the time of selection.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kitsap County, Washington, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction there.
